WELCOME!
It's been a while since we've had a big Halloween party and we can't wait to do it again this year!
Here are some Leaver Halloween Party deets if this is your first time attending.
DRESS UP
This year the theme is MOVIES (hence the vintage movie poster invite). Come costumed as any character from any movie that you want. Been dying to fulfill that fantasy to be Han Solo? Princess Buttercup? The Three Amigos? Now's your chance! And if you want to come as your non-movie hero, that's fine, too. The important thing is to wear a costume because people DO dress up at this thing, so don't think you can come with a "This is my costume" button and not feel lame, cuz you will.
Plus, we have a costume contest and you could go home with your very own Academy Award (woot!).
ACT UP
The highlight of the night is watching your Halloween vids. They don't have to be a big production, just open an app and do it right from your phone in an afternoon (iMovie, VideoStar, etc.).
Use the family, neighborhood, friends, etc. and make a fun memory. More details on this to the right.
You can see some of our older submissions in this blog history. Have some fun! Make us laugh, make us cry, make our skin crawl! And, you know, keep it PG.
EAT UP
We have a lot of hungry Halloweeners so the best way to feed everyone is if everyone helps!
If you are willing, it helps us if everyone pitches in and brings something yummy to share. You don't need to make something for 100 people, just make as much as one recipe calls for (think appetizers- savory or sweet finger foods). A full table of unique selections makes plenty for all. And, since it's Halloween, have fun "Frankenstein"ing your dish!

Dark Circus Bash 2009
Here are the pics from this years party. We have a lot of fun putting this on every year and really enjoy the guests that get into the fun of costumes and food creativity. We truly appreciate everyone who made the effort to get dressed up and come. It means a lot to us. We've got some great and hilarious friends!
